Camping

Camping is freedom, often shared with tones of other people. Nearby is a very popular Provincial camp ground at the Pembina River. Spaces are reserved early, often for many month in advance, specially for long weekends. People from the city come out on weekends and enjoy the outdoors, since it is not even a one hour drive away from Edmonton to here. If these people only knew, that there are some other camp grounds in the area, on river side as well, which are even nicer. Our county is not much into marketing local attractions to visitors, so, mostly locals use these other camp grounds, because they are the only once who know where they are and how to get there. During the week, you could enjoy these camp grounds often all to yourself. Paddle River Dam or Sangudo Riverside are two camp grounds which we can recommend. Or, if you really want to get away from it all and not travel for many miles, then check out the camping spots at Lakeview Guest Ranch. All natural sites, where you find peace and quiet, a lot of space, privacy and a beautiful view onto the lake. From May till October, here you can make yourself at home and still be able to get to a lot of fun things to do within minutes.
