Description:
This unique experience is filled with hands-on fun, fresh air, camp fire cooking, historic and natural insights, time to socialize and enjoy nature at its best.
The wagon will be operated by experienced teamsters and their Clydesdale horses.
The wagon boss and assistant are from the local area and always provide a program of exciting information and entertaining anecdotes during the tour.
You will be amazed what went on in the early days, how they did things back then and how good a fresh meal tastes cooked to perfection on a camp fire.
The small group of max. 8 participants will spend two days off the beaten path and enjoy a wealth of good times. Traveling comfortably 4-5 hours per day, including a nice picnic lunch break, enables the group to arrive early at the camp site in the evening. There, it is time to join in the campfire cooking or give a hand with the horses.
After the evening dinner, the group settles down for story telling and singing. Just like the real pioneers might have done. Sleeping under a blanket of stars and listening to the sounds of nature, will probably be one of the highlights of this excursion.
After a hearty breakfast in the morning, the journey continues until lunch break. Here the opportunity arises to join the wagon boss on a walk. He will share his wealth of knowledge about local plants and herbs and what they have been used back then.
The wagon will arrive in the late afternoon back at the staging area from where the Lakeview Guest Ranch bus will take you to the ranch.
This is a trip you will talk about for a long time to come.
